The unique conservation project

Speick has been one of the most protected Alpine plant species for a long time. But local farmers have special permission to gather a determined number of these little plants in autumn for us to use exclusively in our Speick natural cosmetics and beauty products. The harvest, known as the “Speick Sting" and completed by hand, lasts for one week and is an important and regular additional source of income for these farmers who live an otherwise somewhat frugal existence up in the mountains.
